A textbook case for business

A homeless man filled his new Council house with hundreds of books collected from library sales and charity shops. He built his own PC from spare parts, in order to start an Internet book-selling business. Now Richard Cartwright’s business — Newcastle Books — stocks a whopping 140,000 titles, and Richard employs four people to help fulfil sales. Yesterday he was voted the UK’s most inspirational businessman, in the Barclays Bank Trading Places awards.
