ODE magazine launches new ‘good news’ RSS feed

ODE Magazine has launched a new RSS news feed that only pulls in the positive news, from 60 of the world’s mainstream news sources.

The system is semi-automated and still ‘in beta’, so it throws up a few false positives — but is generally fairly accurate. The system attempts a basic semantic analysis of a news story based on pairings of keywords, throws away celebrity and sports fluff, then scores it between 0.0 and 1.0. A story that rates higher than 0.6 is… “reviewed by a human” before a link is posted in the RSS feed.
